Under pressure after the spot-fixing scandal, BCCI will send a special officer from the ACSU to monitor Team India during the ICC Champions Trophy in England, starting June 6
Cornered after the recent spot-fixing scam in IPL-6, BCCI announced that a vigilance officer from the Anti-corruption and Security Unit will accompany the Indian team during the ICC Champions Trophy in England, according to NDTV reports.
India is not the first team which will be monitored during the Champions Trophy. Pakistan have already appointed an anti-graft officer to travel with the team to England.
PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf told Reuters that steps were being taken to ensure the image of Pakistan cricket did not suffer again as it did when the spot-fixing scandal broke on Pakistan's tour of England three years ago.
